WANTED - Licensed operators to assist marshals with communications on The Ashgate Midsummer Mid-night Walk in June 2012.  Operators are welcome for just a couple of hours or All Night.
Normal finished time is around 6am after you've had your tea and Bacon Butte.

This years(2011) Ashgate Hospice Midsummer Night Walk attracted 1281 confirmed Lady Walkers which proved a very busy night for Marshals and North East Derbyshire RAYNET with the assistance from members of M0OCT ARS Group.

Next Years Ashgate Midsummer Night Walk for the Ladys is on June 23rd and 24th 2012 and will then be into it's fifth year. Members of M0OCT ARS have lent their expertise to North East Derbyshire RAYNET in providing operators for "The Annual Ashgate Hospice Midsummer Mid-night Walk" held over a Saturday Night until the early hours of Sunday on the week-end closest to Midsummer Night. In 2012 our members will again be manning checkpoints on this walk BUT we need your help as does North East Derbyshire RAYNET. Next year's event (2012) takes place over the week-end of Saturday 23th June and Sunday 24th June 2012 and starts at midnight. North East Derbyshire RAYNET members and M0OCT ARS Group are busy setting up from around 7pm on the Saturday.
